International Conference of Data Protection and Privacy Commissioners
October 22 - October 26
The International Conference of Data Protection and Privacy Commissioners (ICDPPC) is a worldwide annual forum at which independent regulators on privacy, data protection and freedom of information adopt high level resolutions and recommendations addressed to governments and international organisations. This year’s event takes place in Brussels, and the theme is “Debating Ethics: Dignity and Respect in Data Driven Life”. The conference includes both closed sessions for accredited ICDPPC members and observers, as well as a public programme, and side events.
High-level Panel on Digital Cooperation co-lead and ex-officio member Jovan Kurbalija will join several discussions and side events to hear the views of a variety of stakeholders communities, including: “From Privacy to Ethics: Misuse, Missed Use, and the Public Good,” “AI, Ethics, and Fundamental Rights,” and “Digital Ethics in Action: Practically addressing data ethics in the private sector“.
