The objective of the joint workshop by the High-level Panel on Digital Cooperation and University of California, Berkeley is to spark an interdisciplinary discussion and gather insights on how government, industry, technical communities and civil society can better work together to design a more inclusive digital economy. The event will take stock of approaches that work to close digital divides and leverage digital technologies for development.

Participants will consider cooperative mechanisms and policy approaches on a diverse set of issues such as building skills for the digital economy, competition policy in the age of big platforms, social protection in the digital economy, and how to drive responsible innovation.
